Peer review / The HiveOS workspace

The HiveOS workspace

HiveOS is the shared workspace where your team organizes tasks, tracks milestones, and keeps momentum.

What is HiveOS?

HiveOS is the project management layer of BuilderLab. Every project gets a shared workspace with a task board, milestone tracker, team chat, and build update log — all in one place.

The task board

Tasks flow through three columns: To Do → In Progress → Done. Any team member can create tasks, assign them, and move them through the board.

  • Create tasks with a title, description, and assigned owner
  • Set a due date and link tasks to a milestone
  • Add labels to group tasks by type (feature, bug, research, etc.)

The team with the most clearly organized task board almost always finishes their project. Good task management is a force multiplier.

Milestones

Milestones are checkpoints that group tasks into larger deliverables. A typical project might have milestones like "MVP features defined," "First working prototype," and "Final review prep." Milestones help the team see progress at a higher level.

Team chat

The project chat is a persistent, threaded discussion space for your team. Use it to make decisions, share links, unblock each other, and coordinate — keeping everything in one place rather than scattered across DMs.

Build updates

Build updates are public posts from the project team. They serve two purposes: keeping the community updated on your progress, and creating a public record of the project's development. Aim for at least one update per milestone.
